CHALLENGE

While electric cars have been subsidized by federal and state governments for the past decade, electric bike incentives are still rare in the US. What’s more, incentive programs often fail to reach underserved populations or address systemic barriers to sustainable transportation.

APPROACH

Brightside co-founded the Equitable Commute Project, shaping it into the first comprehensive e-bike equity program. The Brightside team has negotiated private-sector partnerships to reduce bike cost and streamline program logistics, project-managed government proposals, and continues to lead the team’s public affairs strategy.
