The Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) provides technical assistance to support cities to build high-quality transit, bike lanes, and public spaces.

CHALLENGE

The COVID pandemic accelerated the growth of two and three-wheeled vehicles worldwide. As a leading technical advisor to cities, development banks, and multilateral organizations advancing sustainable transportation in the global south, ITDP needed to develop a strategy to encourage electrification while protecting vulnerable street users and staying focused on its core mission.

APPROACH

Brightside consultants led a landscape assessment and hosted a workshop to identify opportunities, align staff interests, and develop an action plan to advance the organization’s two-wheeler strategy.
